Edward Lloyd Jarvis, a devoted family man and retired US Army veteran, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2024, at the age of 92.
Edward was born on August 3, 1931, in Northfield, VT. He developed a strong work ethic from an early age. After completing his education, he proudly served his country in the US Army and was honored with the Bronze Star. His military service was a testament to his bravery and dedication.
In addition to his military achievements, Edward was known for his inexhaustible zest for life. He loved staying busy and always had a project or hobby to occupy his time.
His legacy of love and kindness will forever live on through the cherished memories shared by his surviving family members: children – Thomas (Lisa) Jarvis, Steve Jarvis, Ute Hinkle, Patty (Lawrence) Schovanec; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. They will hold dear the laughter-filled family gatherings, heartfelt conversations, and valuable life lessons that Edward imparted upon them.
A visitation to celebrate Edward's life will be held on Friday, February 9th from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral. This will be followed by a graveside service and full US Military Honors at Greenwood Cemetery. The graveside service will commence at 1:30 PM.
Edward Lloyd Jarvis will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering commitment to his family will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
