Edward L. Distelrath, 82, Clarksville, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at a later day. The remains are to be cremated. He lived in Port Huron, Michigan and worked at Port Huron Building Supply for 43 years. He moved to Clarksville, Tennessee in 1991. He worked in his sons furniture factory for 13 years. He found great joy in working with his hands. After retiring he built beautiful clocks and jewelry boxes and various gift items for his family and friends. His true passion was working with stained glass. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Belle Distelrath of 59 years. His son James Meade Williams died in 1983. He has 2 surviving sons, Patrick Distelrath of Clarksville and Edward Distelrath (Patricia) of Clarksville. His daughter, Bonnie Meador (Don) of Brownwoood, Texas. His daughter-in-law, Doris Williams (James) of Albertville, Alabama. He has 7 grandchildren and numerous great grand children. He was a member of Mt Herman Baptist Church.
