Edward Degler - 1912 Edward Thomas Degler, 96, Melvindale,Mich., died Sunday, May 3,2009, at Regency Healthcare. The funeral will be held at 2pm Friday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.Joel Nulty officiating. Burial will be in Black Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 10:30am till service Friday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 30,1912 in Elkins,WV son of the late Edward T.and Mary Whitehouse Degler. He was a WW II Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife Roberta Black Degler of Melvindale,Mich.two step daughters Beverly Toth (Brian)of Melvindale,Mich.BettyWall(Steven)of Erin,Tn.Three Grandchildren Lori Toth(Ali),Lisa Burnett(Greg), Julie Tanner and three Great Grandchildren Ali, Breanna, Jessica. Pallbearers will be Jerry Black, Steve Wall, Brian Wagner,Gary Reynolds.
