Edna Ruth Traylor, 90, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Signature Health Care of Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Madewell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
Edna entered this life on October 2, 1922 in Montgomery County, daughter of William E. Blanton, Sr. and Rosa Morgan Blanton. She had a career in Hospital Administration working for the former Memorial Hospital of Clarksville. Edna was a lifelong member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was also a member of the Ajax-Turner Senior Center.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Traylor, Sr. and her son, George W. Traylor, Jr. She leaves behind her loving family which includes her son, Larry Wayne Traylor and wife Joyce of Clarksville; daughter-in-law, Paula Traylor Woodall; grandchildren, Paul Traylor and wife Michelle, Phillip Traylor and wife Denise, Melissa Abbott and husband Keith, and Mark Traylor and wife Erica; and great grandchildren, Brittany Abbott, Sarah Traylor, Jacob Traylor, Rachel Traylor, Kevin Abbott, and Jared Traylor.
Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
