Edgar Jack Hodge, 75, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013 at his home in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was born on June 20, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Eddie and Dolores (Reaves) Hodge.
Jack graduated from Dayton High School in 1955. Except for a brief stint as a Cincinnati Police Officer in 1963, he spent most of his working years in the distribution career field with various companies in Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee. He retired in 1998 from Consolidated Stores Corporation in Columbus, Ohio.
Jack married Carol in 1955 in Dayton, Kentucky. They were happily married for 57 years.
Jack was a 50-year Freemason affiliated with Henry Barnes Lodge No. 607 and Queen City Lodge No. 761. He was also a Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Syrian Shrine of Cincinnati. He enjoyed outdoor activities and spending quality time with family and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ray Hodge. He is survived by his wife Carol; four sons Jack Jr., Randy (Petra), Mike (Jackie), and Shawn (Tracy) Hodge; daughter Kim (Tim) Stacey; two sisters Scharlotte (Joe) Wever and Darlene (Jim) Glover; brother Dan Hodge; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A Masonic Service will be held 7 p.m. Monday January 7, 2013 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home conducted by Queen City Masonic Lodge. Visitation will be held 6p.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Covington, Kentucky Thursday. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at the Scottish Rite Temple, 1553 Madison Ave. in Covington, Kentucky shortly after burial.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Queen City Masonic Lodge #761, 1496 Golf Club Lane, Clarksville, TN 37040 or to AseraCare Hospice, 1539-C Ashland City Rd., Clarksville, TN 37040.
