Edgar Wingo Campbell, 86, Clarksville, died Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 12 noon Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Paul Bunger officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Campbell was born July 13, 1923 in Skullbone, TN (Gibson Co.), son of Edgar W. and Opal Wingo Campbell. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII, retired from the Trane Company, a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church where he was Deacon Emeritus, a graduate of Union University, Jackson, TN, and a charter member of the St. Bethlehem Civitan Club. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Angie Watt Campbell of Clarksville; sons Barry Campbell of Cleveland, Mississippi, Kelly (Carmen) Campbell of Parsons, TN, and Charles (Dana) Campbell of Hendersonville, TN; daughters Donna (Phillip) Berry of Clarksville and Linda (Doug) Mercier of Senatobia, Mississippi; sister Edna Bradbury of Medina, TN; and eleven grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Al Rymer, Kurt Hamm, Mike Kennedy, Mike Kenner, Eli Mayers, and Barry Cunningham.
