Ed Pinkston - 1930 William Edgar Pinkston, 79, McEwen, died Wednesday, October 21,2009, at St.Thomas Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2pm Saturday with Bro.Ray Mayo officiating. Burial will be in Knight Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30pm till 8pm Friday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born August 22,1930 in McEwen,Tn. son of the late Roy ad Mollie Hooper Pinkston. He was a retired Rail Road Yard Master. Survivors include his wife Nancy Cope Pinkston of McEwen,Tn.three children Susan (Rick)Sanders, Connie (Bill Spragg)Newcomb, Sherri Taylor all of Houston,Tx.three step children Carl (Donna)Anderton, Karla (James)Pichering, Robin Slaughter all of Dickson,Tn.one sister Mary (Tommy)Edwards of Houston County,Tn.nine grandchildren,six step grandchildren,five great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends Richard Newcomb, Jason Newcomb, Jeremy Shrum, Jashua Picherings, Rassco Blair, Dan Furmanih, George Harris, Dan Williams.
