Earnest Stroud

Earnest Lester Stoud, 77, Clarksville, died Monday, October 26, 2009, at Spring Meadows Health Care. A private service will be held. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Boonville, Mississippi. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born August 30, 1932 in South Carolina and was the son of the late Thannie and Bleaker Roberts Stroud and the widower of Mildred Ellis Stroud. Mr. Stroud was a retired contruction worker and a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. Survivors include his son, Earnest Lester Stroud Jr, Clarksville; daughters, Menessa Hawkingberry, Paducah, Lelia (Mark) Hawkins, Clarksville; brother, Sulee Stroud, Colarado; sisters, Mary Alice Knight, Eva Mae Hood, Mary Jane Hammond, Mary Magdaline Hinson and Janie Flaukingberry, all of South Carolina; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
