Earlene Frost Meade, 87, Clarksville, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 at Spring Meadows Health Care Center.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Bro. Bobby Kail Officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Meade was born November 1, 1923 in Stewart County, TN and was preceded in death by her parents, Florence Wallace Travis and James Luffman; husband, Rev. Martin L. Meade; brothers, Eugene Travis, J.T. Travis, Harlon Luffman, Hubert Luffman; sisters, Ella Wallace, Emma Jean Selph; and her son-in-law, Col. James R. Tompkins.
She was a seamstress for Jay Garment Company, a homemaker, and a member of Crossland Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Robert L. (Mary) Frost, Forest Hill, MD, Charles W. Frost, Clarksville; daughter, Martha R. Tompkins, Clarksville; grandsons, David Frost (Chantal), MD, Jim Tompkins (Levita), Clarksville, Steve A. Frost (Casey), Adams; six great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; half-siblings, Evelyn Brake, Geraldine Greenwell, Bill Luffman (Robbie), Leamon Luffman (Margie), Russell Luffman (Wanda) and Alfred Luffman (Laverne).
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
