Drusilla C. Bumpus, age 98, of Clarksville, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 30, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Barrineau and Rev. Richard Wesley officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
Drusilla entered into this life on June 21, 1917 in the St. Bethlehem Community of Montgomery County to the late Morris Clendenin and Elizabeth Webb Clendenin Warfield. She was also the step daughter of the late C.P. Warfield. She was a member of the Clarksville High School graduating class of 1936 and went on to work as an LPN. Drusilla was a member of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Estol R. Bumpus; sister, Wilmouth Ann Kuffner and her husband, George.
Survivors include her son, Charles Philip Bumpus; daughters, Dr. Betty Ann Meriwether and Mary B. Mulford; grandchildren, Douglas (Heidi) Mulford, Julie (Jack) Chapman, Joanna (Adam) Cross; great-grandchildren, Jacob Chapman, Josie Chapman, Katie Mulford, Kyle Mulford, Jason Cross, and Isaac Cross.
Pallbearers will be Charles E. Mulford, Jack Chapman, Jacob Chapman, Ronnie Nicholson, John Goodrich, and Jim Page.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
