Dottie Self

Dottie Jean Self, age 70, of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023 at Tennova Healthcare of Clarksville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Mealer officiating. Burial will follow at Lowry Cemetery.

The Self family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Monday afternoon.

Dottie entered this life on January 4, 1953 in Erin, TN, daughter to the late Almond Schmidt and Ida Frances Deason.

In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon Schmidt, Austin Schmidt; as well as her dear great grandchild baby Marable, and her adopted mom Charlene Carlton.

Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years Terry Self; children, Kathrene Luffman, Jerry Self, Jeff Pulliam (Kim), and James Dooley Bryant (Sharon); sisters; Rachel Varden, Wanda Self, Rosie Powell; grandchildren, Darren Self, Tiffany Luffman, Brandi Luffman, Scott Luffman, Larresa Wilson, Bethany Wiener, Tim Pulliam; and many beloved great-grandchildren.  Left to morn her loss are also her dear sisters-in-laws, Dorothy Schmidt and Sherrie Schmidt.

Serving as Pallbearers will be David Schmidt, Paul Varden, Jessie Massie, Michael Mealer, Dawayne Powell, Brian Self, and Dwayne Johnson.
