Dossie Franklin (Chubby) Hodges, 57, Cunningham, died Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Cumberland City, Tennessee, while fishing on the banks of the Cumberland River. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lone Oak Baptist Church with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will be in Ferrell Cemetery. Visitation will be from from 5 p.m. Monday until 1 p.m. Wednesday at his home at his home. He was born September 2, 1952 in Dickson Co., Tennessee, son of Dossie C. Hodges and Doshie Marie Hutchinson Hodges. Mr. Hodges worked as a logger and farmer and was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife Lacine Hodges of Cunningham; sons Billy Franklin (Patty) Hodges and Jackie Lee (Veronica) Hodges, both of Cumberland Furnace; daughter Helen Marie (Carl) Rogers of Cunningham; his mother, Doshie Marie Hutchinson Hodges of Cunningham; grandchildren Brandon, Amanda, Andrea, Amber, Brittany, and Courtney Hodges and Carl, Travis, Harleigh, and Brook Rogers. Pallbearers will be Alfred Hodges, Steven Hodges, Michael Hoard, Gary Hollis, Richard Hasley, and Randy Davidson.
