Doshie M Hodges

Doshie Marie Hodges, age 89, of Cunningham, peacefully passed away on March 9, 2024. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Ferrell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Doshie entered this life on March 30, 1934 in Dickson, TN to the late Robert and Dora Baggett Hutchinson.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dossie Hodges, and her son, Dossie Franklin “Chubby” Hodges, daughter, Helen Marie Hodges; siblings Katie Mae Mixon, Willie Lee Hollis, Pearl Hodges, Netty Mae Hutchinson, Vera Gibson, Velear Gibson, Franklin Hutchinson, Earl Hutchinson, Robert Hutchinson, Calvin Hutchinson, and James Hutchinson.

 Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Lacine Hodges; grandchildren: Billy (Karley) Hodges, Jackie (Veronica) Hodges, and Helen Rogers. Additionally, she is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Brandon, Amanda, Andrea, Amber, Brittany, Courtney, Carl, Travis, Harleigh, Brook, and Aubree; great-great grandchildren Cali, Miles, Skylyn, Gracelyn, Hadleigh, Ember, Oliver, Briar, and Tanner; sisters, Jean Chandler, Molly Ann Neblette; brothers, Edward Hutchinson, and Joe Hutchinson.  

  Doshie will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. Her nurturing spirit and gentle demeanor touched the lives of many. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will be forever treasured by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Hodges, Billy Hodges, David Hodges, Scott Bowman, Travis Rogers, and Jason Hodges.
