Dorris Elliott

Dorris Reed Elliott, 74, Cedar Hill, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Baptist Hospital, Nashville. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Baggett officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Elliott was born July 26, 1937 in Stewart County, Tennessee and was the son of the late Edgar and Katie Hancock Elliott.
He was a retired Pipefittter for Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #572 and attended Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Fay Ellis Elliott, Cedar Hill; children, Rita (Ronnie) Boyd, Springfield, Dee (Karla) Elliott, Kansas City, MO, Monica (Dwayne) Clark, Cedar Hill; grandchildren, Chelsea Mundy, Megan Elliott, Brintley Clark, Kayley McKinney, Lauren Elliott; and great-grandson, Tucker Mundy.
Pallbearers will be Baxter Wallace, Billy Keel, R.D. Wallace, Justin Mundy, Mort Paisley and Dwayne Clark.
