Dorothy Marie Stroud, 87 of Clarksville, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Ernie Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge-Rye Cemetery in Palmyra.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday.
Dorothy was born June 28, 1928 in Montgomery County, daughter of the late John Thomas Rye and Emily Caroline Baggett Rye. She was a member of Griffins Chapel Church of the Nazarene.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Benny (Saundra) McKim; daughter, Debbie (Bill) Payne; grandchildren, Angela, Donna, Steve, Jeremy, Nikki, and Eric; 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve McKim, Eric McKim, Tyler Nicholson, Shaun Chumley, Robert Eads, and Bobby Earl Eads.
