Dorothy "Dot" Ellis
January 19, 1937 — January 29, 2012
Dorothy Mills Ellis, age 75, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 after a lengthy illness.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Rob Courtney officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens following the service.
Mrs. Ellis was born January 19, 1937 in Chesnee, S.C. to Shuford and Cora Murray Mills. She was employed by Holiday Inn for many years and worked as Head of Housekeeping. She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry O. Ellis, daughter Tammy (Rick) Wallace, son Tony (Tracy) Ellis, all of Clarksville, brothers Bob Mills of S.C. and Charles (Jo) Mills of GA, and special aunt Jewell Ellis Coker of Selmer, TN.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Fran Ball. Dot loved her family so much and had such a big heart for animals. She enjoyed cross-word puzzles and T.V. game shows.
Pallbearers will be Ron Wallace, Rob McKinnon, Mike Wallace, Pat Wallace, Bob Ellis, and Jimmy Lynch.
