Dorothy “Jean” Adams Sterling Dixon, age 88 of Cumberland City, TN, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.
A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Pastor Artist Waynick officiating. Burial will follow in Scotts Chapel Cemetery.
Jean’s family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday morning.
Jean entered this life on December 6, 1930 in Nashville, TN, daughter to the late Lurton and Edna Adams.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her son, Lloyd Wayne (Debbie)Sterling, brother, Thomas Adams, sisters, Kathy Haynie, and Evaleen Ederle.
Survivors include her loving children, Diane (Tommy) Conger, Mark (Bonita)Sterling, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. Jean also leaves behind her siblings, Bobby Adams, Shirley Clements, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Sterling, Jeremy Sterling, Tyler Sterling, Austin Sterling, Mathew Baggett, Owen Baggett, and Bobby Adams.
