Dorothy Nichols Bryant, age 85 of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Signature Healthcare.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. John Casey officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
Dorothy was born on August 15, 1930 in Montgomery County, to the late Samuel Nichols and Estelle Cornwell Nichols. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herschel “Jack” Bryant; daughter, Barbara Estelle Bryant; brothers, Bennie Nichols, William Nichols, and Robert Nichols; sisters, Margie Nichols and Mary Kathryn Shepard.
Dorothy, UMC Conference delegate of the year, was a 1949 graduate of Clarksville High School and a member of Port Royal United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Montgomery County Bee Keepers Association and was active in both the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper for Bryant Implement.
Survivors include her sons, David (Debbie Sue) Bryant, Frank (Mary Jo) Bryant, Greg (Sonia) Bryant, and Scott (Christine) Bryant; daughter, Gloria Dawn (Dale) Humphrey; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank the friends and staff at Signature Healthcare, Fieldstone Place, and the caregivers at Aseracare Hospice.
