Dorothy Brown

Dorothy Perdue Brown, age 89 of Clarksville, TN died peacefully at Clarksville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on February 4, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Fred W. Brown. She is survived by a son, David C. Brown and his wife Deborah of Clarksville, TN; one granddaughter, Dorothy Elizabeth Brown Rumsey and her husband Martin and great-grandson, William Fredrick Rumsey of London, England.
She is also survived by a step-son, Fred W. Brown, Jr. and his wife Linda of Hendersonville, N.C. and his two daughters, Sydney Brown of North Carolina and Whitney Corrigan of Pennsylvania. There are 4 step-grandchildren.
A Nashvillian, she graduated from Tennessee College for Women where she studied music and business. She moved to Clarksville in 1951 and practiced accounting with her husband Fred W, Brown C.P.A. She loved playing bridge and golf. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
At her request, Dorothy will be cremated and a private burial will take place at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
