Dorothy Brake

Dorothy Brake 97, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2021 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Scott officiating. The Brake family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 and on Friday 11 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Dorothy entered this life on August 16, 1924 in Montgomery Co, TN; daughter to the late Joseph and Hazel Sanders Watts. Dorothy and her late husband James (Big Daddy) Brake were the owners and operators of Big Daddys BBQ and Fredonia Market. She attended Hilldale Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Brake and daughter, Priscilla “Prissy” Grantham.
Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Brake, Kenny (Betty) Brake; daughters, Carolyn (Mike) Watson, Judy (Scott) Fleming; sisters, Ruby Shepherd and Margie Wall; fifteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
Grandsons and Great-Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
