Dorothy Rea Bowling, 84, Clarksville, died Sunday, December 28, 2008, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. E.G. Sims officiating. Burial will be in Davidson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 29, 1924 in Stewart County. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Wallace and Lela Wortham Wallace; and her husband, Horace Benson Bowling. Mrs. Bowling was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Ronnie Lee Bowling, Clarksville, daughter, Joyce (Buddy) McClellan, Clarksville; brother, Grady Owen Wallace, Dover; sister, Betty Blackwell, Clarksville; grandchildren, Josh McClellan, Courtney McClellan; great-grandchildren, Lily McClellan and Elijah McClellan. Pallbearers will be Mike Wallace, John Wallace, Mitchell Wallace, Scott Mahoney, Wayne Pace and Mark Poole. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Wallace, Charlie Wallace, Doug Knight and Bobby Gee.
