Dorothy Bailey

Dorothy Blasida Bailey, age 83 of Clarksville, slipped quietly through the gates of Heaven, Saturday, May 16, 2015.
Dorothy was born on September 29, 1931 in Peabody, KS.
She retired from Digital Corp. in 1992, where she worked for many years as a customer service rep.
Dorothy loved to crochet, making beautiful gifts for family and friends even after her failing eye sight, she would still crochet.
She was always up for a good card game or going to lunch with a friend. She had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. Her motto was, don’t knock it till you've tried it.
She volunteered her time to a literacy group teaching adults to read. One year she did the census in Clarksville.
She leaves behind seven children who she was very proud of, often saying how different each of them were; Linda (Bob) Pettis, Jamie (Mike) Payne, Steve (Trish) Hart, Lerae (Alfonso) Deladillo, Lynette (Tom) Graham, Darlene (Mark) Domenigoni, Launa (Michael) Sholar; grandchildren, Carrie Jacobs, John Stephenson, James Hart, Darold Hart, Krystal Hinojos, R.J. Lopez, Tommy Graham, Nick Domenigoni, Alyssa Domenigoni and Sabrina Sholar; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and one sister, Melva Irvine.
Our family would also like to thank Paige Merriweather, her caregiver who in our moms words "thought the world of her."
At Dorothy’s request she will be cremated and no services will be held. Her family will gather privately to honor her.
