Dorita Kay Jeffries, age 65 of Clarksville, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Monday, January 23, 2017 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson with Bro. Mike Raine officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Dorita was born on July 5, 1951 in Bremerhaven, Germany, the daughter of the late James Harley and Dorothy Dean Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard E. Jeffries and sisters, Carolyn Bryant, Judy Bowers, and Juanita Smith. Dorita was a former member of the League of Angels. She retired from food services and had worked at Kelly's Big Burger and El Palacio.
She is survived by her children, Rita Kay (Ron) Walsh, Leonard E. (Diana) Jeffries, II, and Jeffrey Dean Jeffries; siblings, James H. “Sonny” Smith, Barbara “Penny” Crotzer, Gary J. “Snuffy” Smith, Robert Smith, Phyllis Sanford, Donna Lisa Curtsinger, Sherrie Ann Foulks, Danny Wayne "Butch" Smith, and Eugene Dale "Turtle" Smith; grandchildren, Chandler, Charity, Chasity, Aly, Katie, Bri, Nicholas, Colton, and Carmen Jeffries.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Bolin, Jason Bolin, Benny Humphrey, Shawn Humphrey, Jonathan Humphrey, Gary J. Smith, II and Chris Plyer.
