Doris Devorix Darnell, 83, Anchorage,Alaska, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Providence Alaska Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 10am Saturday August 28, 2010 at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9am until service Saturday August 28, 2010 at the funeral home. The remains are to be cremated. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Anchorage Alaska resident Doris Devorix Darnell 83 died Aug.3, 2010 at Providence Alaska Medical Center Anchorage, AK. Doris was born Oct. 20,1926, in Woodlawn TN , to Jack and Evie Darnell. Doris married Dolores Meacham On June 14, 1955, in Corinth Miss. The couple made their home in Erin TN.where he owned and operated a service station. They moved to Alaska 1975. Doris is survived by his wife, Dolores of Anchorage, three children, Glenna Jackson of Kernersville NC, Deidra Ray Aloha OR and Jack Darnell of Anchorage AK Three grandchildren and one brother, Roy Darnell of Harvest AL
