Donnie Mathews

Donald Ray Mathews, affectionally known as Donnie, age 66, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

Celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 26th, 2023 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Chris Kramer officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Donnie entered this life on April 16th, 1957  in Clarksville, TN to the late Calvin and Faye Mathews. He was the owner and operator of Mathews Car Center for over 40 years. He was a jack of all trades and was capable of fixing anything. He was an antique car enthusiast and had won several awards through the years for his classic cars. He was a member of the Memory Lane Cruisers and attended The National Hot Rod Association Convention every year.

Survivors include his loving wife, Kathy; daughter; Jamie (Bryan) Kramer; children by marriage, Ceci (Daniel) Varnell, Trey Smith, and Jennifer (Kevin) Thompson; siblings, David (Connie) Mathews, Dana Mathews Plunkett and Mark Dewayne Mathews; grandchildren, Dylan, Avery, Donovan, Dustyn, Dawson, Nathan, Alyssa, Mikie, Karlie and many nieces and nephews.
