Donald Thompson

Loving husband and father, Donald Lacy Thompson, age 78, of Clarksville, TN went home to Jesus on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor Charlotte Moore and Pastor Rachelle Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 6th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Donald entered this life on August 22, 1945, in Clarksville, TN to the late C. Lacy and Marjorie Batson Thompson. He was a graduate of Austin Peay State University. A third-generation professional photographer, Donald was the owner of Thompson Studio. He loved capturing moments of history as a portrait and wedding photographer for many families in Clarksville. Donald loved the Lord and was an active member first as a child at Clarksville First Church of the Nazarene and then later at Clarksville Memorial Drive Church of the Nazarene and Clarksville Grace Church of the Nazarene. He also enjoyed gospel and choral music.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Christina Speer Thompson; daughter, Marla Thompson; son, Brandon Thompson, and brother, Charles (Pat) Thompson.
