Donald Ray Shepherd, age 71 of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. James Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at First Baptist Church Woodlawn.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Donald was born on August 25, 1943 in Montgomery County, and was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Shepherd and Delma “Edna” Shepherd; and his brother Larry Shepherd. He was a member of First Baptist Church Woodlawn and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He attended Woodlawn School and retired from Shepherds & Sons but also worked for Morgan Construction and Orgain Ready Mix.
Survivors include his son, David Ray Shepherd; brothers, Henry Shepherd, Billy Shepherd, James “Jimmy” Shepherd; sisters, Annie Sue Biter, Edna “Faye” Miler, Bonnie Stone, Cornelia Moody, and Marilyn Webb.
Pallbearers will be James K. Shepherd, Jimmy Dean Shepherd, Dillon Shepherd, Logan Shepherd, Jeff Shepherd, and Larry Wyatt.
