Dickie Rye

Richard Ray (Dickie) Rye, 58, Stewart, TN, died Monday, August 23, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Moody officiating. Burial will be in Batson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Dickie was born May 25, 1952 in Humphreys County, TN, son of George Richard Rye and Marjorie(Monnie) Bryant. He was a member of Carpenters Local #223. Survivors include his mother Marjorie (Monnie) Rye Sexton of Erin, brothers Danny Rye and Eddie Rye both of Erin, sisters Debra Kent and Peggy Luffman both of Erin, companion Phyliss Hasley of Stewart, and step daughter Casey Hasley of Georgia. Pallbearers will be Dathon Rye, Derreak Rye, Richie Kent, Brian Westmoreland, Gene Jones, and Johnathan Schnapp.
