Richard "Dick" Edward Van Daele, age 84, of Cunningham, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Chapel.
The Van Daele family will receive friends Friday, January 4, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Gum Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Dick entered into this life on May 22, 1934, in Mishawaka, IN son of the late Joannes and Marcelena Van Daele. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp, and proudly served during the Korean Conflict. Dick retired from the former State Industries, now known as AO Smith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Florence Kline, Frances Kedik, Louise Whitfield, and Harold Van Daele, and step-grandson, Alex Van Daele.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Bearden Van Daele; children, Richard (Lynn) Van Daele, Jr., Brenda (Art Thompson) Russo, Alan (Jan) Van Daele, and Deann (Tom) Sneddon; step-children, Ron Van Daele, and Rebecca Farmer; siblings, Virginia Holobyn, and Barbara Elli; grandchildren, Raymond Van Daele, Catrina Deaux, Joshua Van Daele, Roger Van Daele, Philip Russo, Kaitlyn Van Daele, Lynnette Lakner, Caleb Van Daele, Ana Sneddon, Andrew Van Daele, Noah Van Daele, Emeline Sneddon, and Amelia Sneddon; step-grandchildren, Bryan Vinson, Benjamin Tillman, Michael Tillman, Elizabeth Nash, Brandon Van Daele, Kayce Van Daele; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Van Daele, Joshua Van Daele, Roger Van Daele, Philip Russo, Caleb Van Daele, Andrew Van Daele, and Noah Van Daele.
