Dewayne Middleton

Dewayne Middleton, age 83 of Erin, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2015 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro Charles Potter officiating. Burial will follow in Bush Cemetery with military honors.
The Middleton family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m with Masonic Rites being held at 7:00 p.m, and from 8:00 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday morning.
Dewayne entered this life on February 1, 1932 in Henderson Co, TN, son to the late Wyley and Missy Middleton. Dewayne proudly served his country in the United States Army, was a masonic member of Wisdom Lodge 300, and Scottish Rites of Nashville. Dewayne was a retired pipefitter at TVA, and attended the Elk Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Dewayne was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Middleton; brothers, Hershall Middleton, Jerry Middleton, and sister, Beatrice Middleton.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Annie Collins Middleton; son, Mark Middleton (Alyson); daughter in law, Vernetta Middleton; brother, Gene Middleton; sister, Bernice Caine; grandchildren, Mandy Gleaves, Jeremiah Middleton, Jodi Middleton, Madyson Middleton, Ethan Middleton; and great-grandchildren, Thatcher, and Josie.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
