Dessie Mae Baggett, 69, Palmyra, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Monday.
Dessie was born September 21, 1942 in Herrin, Illinois, daughter of Leslie and Mary Powers Murray. She was a homemaker.
Dessie is survived by her husband, Mike Baggett; son, Roy Musso (Charlene); daughters, Lena McTaggart, Connie Jones (Danny), Kathy Crain (David Fisher), Angie Brock (Perry), Christine Tinker (Brian), step children, Michael Paul Baggett (Jessica) and Brandi Black (Marvin); brother, Les Murray; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be employees of Baggett Carpet Service and her grandsons.
