Dennis Gossett Sr.

Dennis Henry Gossett Sr., 75, Clarksville, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at at his residence after a long illness. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Cynthia Talley and Beverly Dycus officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. He was born December 31, 1933 in Chattanooga, TN and was preceded in death by his parents, William Richard and Bertha Mae Jones Gossett; and one son, Richard Lee Gossett. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Served over 22 years in the U.S. Army, one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Stancil Gossett, Clarksville; sons, Dennis Henry (Peggy) Gossett JR, Capon Bridge, WV, Robert Allen (Daphne) Gossett; daughter, Theresa Marie Gossett, both of Clarksville; brother, Vernice Gossett, Roy, UT; six grandsons and one granddaughter.
