Delores Johnson

Delores B. “Nanny” Johnson, age 85, of Clarksville, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 1 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery, 1388 Cumberland Heights Road, Clarksville, TN. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Delores entered into this life on February 25, 1935, to the late Edward John and Bernice Stallings Fowler in Calvert County, Maryland. Delores was one of fourteen siblings and she enjoyed cooking for her family and traveling to the mountains. She loved eating Mexican food while sipping on margaritas, and fresh seafood from Maryland.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Gorman Stallings; second husband, Carlis Byard; third husband, Larry Johnson, Sr.; children, Thelma (Johnny) Moreland, Delores Moreland, Michael (Lulu) Stallings, Baby Boy Stallings.

Survivors include her children, Carlis Byard, Jr.; stepson, Dennis (Ruthie) Johnson; grandchildren, Sandra Moreland, Toni (William “Turkey”) Vermillion, Tammy (Chuck) Murphy, Vincent (Tammy) Moreland, Michael (Vicki) Moreland, Richard (Jacinda) Moreland, Shawn (Ashley) Stallings, Carlee (L.A.) Hulan, Taylor (Jacob) Eagly. Madisen (Jay) Byard; sisters, Virginia Moreland and Linda George; son-in-law, Paddy Moreland; eight additional grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
