Delona Shockey

Delona Ellen Shockey, 72, Palmyra, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Bro. Sammy Wallace officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. She was born November 3, 1936 in South Carolina and was the daughter of the late, Roger Wayne and Frances Fulmer Harrison. Mrs. Shockey was retired sales associate at Sears, and was a member of Palmyra United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi, a Master Gardner with Clarksville Garden Club, Pond Society, Federation Garden Club and Middle Tennessee Hosta Society. Survivors include her husband, Dewey Shockey, Palmyra; son, James Ross White, Palmyra; daughters, Kathy (David) McLendon, Palmyra, Colleen (Jack) Teet, Palmyra; sister, Delores Weathersbee, Beach Island, SC; granddaughter, Ariel Ellen-Elizabeth Teet. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital, 2200 Childrens Way, Nashville, TN, 37232, Clarksville Montgomery County Schools Fuel Program or the Safe House, P.O.
