David VanHorn, Jr.

January 11, 1983 — November 16, 2012

David E. VanHorn Jr. age 29 of Greenville, IL, passed away suddenly at 8:21 p.m. Friday November 16, 2012 at Greenville Regional Hospital, Greenville, Illinois.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Deacon Dominick Azzara officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
David Earl VanHorn Jr., the son of David Earl VanHorn Sr. and Anna Maria Bondurant VanHorn Robinson, was born on January 11, 1983 at Fort Campbell, KY. He was raised at Ft. Leavenworth, KS where he attended public school. The family moved to Greenville, IL in October of 1994. He attended Pleasant Ridge School in Kansas and graduated from Greenville High School in 2001. David attended Rankin Technical Institute for 4 years graduating in computer science. He has worked at Greenville College for many years and is a line chef there.
David is survived by his mother Anna VanHorn Robinson of Alpine, Alabama, his step father who has raised him since the age of 4, Mark A. Robinson of Alpine, Alabama, his sister Jennifer Marie VanHorn of Alpine, Alabama, his maternal grandmother Virginia Bondurant of Alpine Alabama, his half sister Monica Robinson of Springfield, Illinois, his step grandparents Annabel and Warren Robinson of Springfield, IL, and three nieces Isabella, Emma and Alanna.
David was in the school band from the sixth grade on, an active member of the Drama Club and was raised in the Catholic Faith.
