David Joseph Smith, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.
David entered into this life on April 2, 1946 in Ludington, Michigan to the late Doyle Isaac Smith and Catherine VanSlaters Smith. He was a retired soldier of the US Army, and was a Vietnam era veteran and had bravely served combat roles in the Gulf War. After retirement from the Army, David worked as an auto mechanic. He was also a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Choate Smith, and his children, Scott Allen Smith, Shelly Kursave (Bobby), James Lloyd Quinn, and Amanda Morse (Deeke). He is also survived by two brothers, two sisters, ten grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a son, David Joseph “Joey” Smith.
