David Nanney, 56, Clarksville, died Friday, July 23, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Dr. Ted Denny officiating. Burial will be in Nanney-Hollis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 12 noon until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born December 31, 1953, son of Jesse Lawrence and Martha Sue James Nanney. David was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church, a dispatcher for Clarksville Police Department, and loved music and fishing. Survivors include his wife Sue Edmonds Nanney of Clarksville, step-son Michael Smith of Texas, step-daughter Vicky Marlow of Oklahoma, and brother Eddie (Billie Ruth) Nanney of Clarksville.
