David Henry Julseth, age 72 of Houston County, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 following a stroke.
David grew up on a tobacco farm outside of Evansville, WI. On January 26, 2013, he and his wife Carmen Shelby Julseth also of Evansville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple moved to Colorado in 1969 where he was an Electrical Engineer at Lockheed-Martin Aerospace in Denver, CO, and worked on the Viking Lander to Mars in the early 70’s; the launch vehicle for the Space Shuttle; and the Titan and Atlas Projects. After retirement, he and his wife spent summers in Colorado and winters in Tennessee. They had ties to Erin Baptist Church in Erin, TN; Lutheran Church of the Cross, and Evergreen Lutheran Church in Evergreen, CO; the Grove Church in Evansville, WI; the Houston County Lions Club in Erin, TN, and Lockheed-Martin’s Ridge Riders Horse Club in CO.
David was preceded in death by his parents Henry Elmer and Isobel Bullard Julseth. He is survived by loving wife; children, David Charles (Francisco Gonzalez) Julseth, Anjanette (Travis) Crosby, Timothy (Kris) Julseth, Matthew Julseth (Jennifer James); brothers, Oliver Julseth, and Bruce Julseth. David also leaves behind five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. March 1, 2015 at Erin Baptist Church in Erin, TN, with Bro. Truitt Cockrell officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in CO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Erin Baptist Church, the Houston County Lions Club, or another charity of your choice.
