David Lewis Hall, age 74, of Clarksville, passed away while surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, August 19, 2021.
A small casual ceremony for family and friends will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pastor Lenny Carter will officiate.
David entered into this life on February 11, 1947, to the late Lawrence and Pauline Yarbrough Hall. David proudly served in the United States Army at the height of Vietnam. He was a lifelong resident of the Cumberland Heights Community and was employed by Trane for thirty-nine years until his retirement. David was a genuine friend to everyone he met and was always eager to lend a helping hand. He was a classic car enthusiast, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially when he was hunting or fishing. Additionally, David loved his Lord and was a member of The River Church, where he dearly loved his church family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother William Hall .
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Frances Hall; daughters, Samantha (Tom) Ellis and Dana (Mark) Smith; sister, Connie Newlove; brothers-in-law, James Abernathy, John Abernathy, and Bob (Sherry) Abernathy; nieces, Tammy Bryant and Jana Hall. He was also the proud grandfather of Shelby Irwin, Mark Smith III, Kevin Ellis, Jeremy Ellis, Leigh Weathers, and Shelby Ellis, and four great-grandchildren.
