David Paul Bauer, 53, Indian Mound, died Sunday, February 21, 2010, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Brother Clay King officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with full military honors. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. He was born April 25, 1956 in Belleville, Ill and was preceded in death by his father, Harry Hellon; his brother, Lewis Bauer and a grand-daughter, Kaitlynn DeBarry. Mr. Bauer was a retired 1SG with the U.S. Army, formerly employed by Tilecera, Metalpha and currently was working for MW/MB. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Other than his wife, Janet Pulley Bauer, Indian Mound, he is survived by his mother, Betty Embry Hellon, Havanna, FL; daughters, Christina (Burt) Corley, Raeford, NC; Tamie Fields, Nashville, Zoey Bauer, Indian Mound; sons, Larry Bauer, Indian Mound, Christopher Sanders, Vance (Julie) Sanders, both of Muskegon, MI; brother, Barry (Jane) Hellon, Hinesville, GA; sisters, Teresa (John) Townsend, Havana, FL, Debbie (Jerry) Smalling, Melody (Jim) Meyers, Maryville, IL; sister-in-law, Loretta Bauer, Saginaw, MI; grandchildren, Bailey Corley, Andy Sanders, Heather Sanders and Kyler Sanders and four great-grandchildren.
