Darnell Black

Stayton Darnell Black, age 74, of Cunningham, TN passed away Friday, October 21, 2022.
Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2022, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Monday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
A Masonic Service will be held 7 p.m. Sunday following
Darnell entered this life on October 8, 1948, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Stayton and Lola Baggett Black. He was a member of Locust Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a Mason with the Palmyra Lodge No. 747. Darnell loved working on hot rods and knew his way around a car. He enjoyed traveling to the mountains and working on the farm. Darnell was retired from the Zinc Plant.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, JoAnn Black Johansen.
Survivors include his loving wife, Patsy Haynes Black; sons, Darnell “Bubb” Black (Stacy), and Dan Black (Elizabeth); daughters, Missy Thomas (Chris), and April Turner (Josh); grandchildren, Amanda Gray, Donald Black, Brandon Bluedorn, Michael Johansen, Will Black, Chelsie Johansen, Tyler Wright, Katherine Black, Lilly Black, BK Thomas, and Travis Thomas; great-grandchildren, Conner, Lucas, Brantley, and Ember.
Pallbearers will be Donald Black, Brandon Bluedorn, Will Black, Tyler Wright, Michael Johansen, and Jesse Gray.
Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Turner, and Chris Thomas.
