Daniel Johnson

Daniel Dale Johnson, age 67, of Erin, TN passed away November 9, 2023 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Daniel entered this life on August 14, 1956, in Los Angeles, CA, son to the late James Lewis Johnson and Elvira Mildred Johnson.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his sister, Joy Lynn Johnson O’Dell.

Daniel began his schooling in California where he enjoyed playing in the school band; but moved to Tennessee during his teen years where he played football and graduated from Houston County High School.  After high school, he learned welding and worked in Mobile, AL in the ship yard for the Navy.  In the mid 90’s he opened an automobile shop in Oklahoma, and then he moved back to Houston County, where he was a truck driver for almost 30 years.

Survivors include his loving brothers, James (Maralynne) Johnson, Paul Johnson; half-sisters, Mary Jo Basham and Elnora Gibbs; and a sister-in-law, Judy Walters.
