Daniel Baker SR.

   Daniel Baker Sr, age 77 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Signature Healthcare of Erin. 

   A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Kirk officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. 

  Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 8:00 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday morning. 

  Daniel entered this life on November 25, 1946 in Belton, KY, son to the late Charlie Baker and Stella Mallory Baker. Daniel faithfully served his country in the United States Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. Daniel later retired after a fruitful career with TVA, where he worked many years as an electrical engineer. He was a generous and loving family man who will be greatly missed.   

   In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his step-son, Steven Lancaster; and two siblings. 

   Survivors include his loving wife, Marissa Baker; children, Daniel Baker Jr, Hope (Marty) Carter; step-children, Carlotta Lontine, Amanda Hooper, Heather (Anthony) Gilstrap; and sister, Melessia (Steve) Thresher. Daniel also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.  

  Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Carter, Zach Carter, Hunter Carter, Anthony Gilstrap, Ronnie Dennis, Petey Odenthal, and Aaron Arnold.
