Daisy Dickson

Daisy H. Dickson, 97, Clarksville, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Terry, Dr. Roger Freeman & Rev. Davis Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Marion United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. She was born May 19, 1912 in Dickson County, TN and was preceded in death by her parents, James R. and Beatrice Crick Hamilton; and her husband, William M. Dickson Mrs. Dickson was a member of Marion United Methodist Church where she was the pianist for seventy two years. She was a homemaker as well as a correspondent for the Leaf Chronicle for over forty years. She had a love for music and quilting. Survivors include her children, Dwight (Gloria) Dickson, Clarksville, Betty (Bob) Halperin, Broomfield, CO; grandchildren, Anita (Eric) Powers, Dwight (Ginny) Dickson Jr., Joy (Luke) Stalling, and Bobby Russell; great-grandchildren, Hannah Powers, Joshua Powers, Jessica Dickson, Kyley Dickson and Will Dickson. Pallbearers will be Dwight Dickson Jr., Kyley Dickson, Will Dickson, Joshua Powers, Eric Powers, Bobby Russell and Luke Stalling. Honorary pallbearers will be Warren Green and Billy Stockdale.
