Cyril Lloyd Williams, 88, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. John David Laida and Dr. Felts Dent officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 12 noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Lloyd was born October 28, 1923 in Poweshiek, Iowa, son of Thomas Edward Williams and Annie Jones Williams. He served his country in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII. Lloyd retired from a career in furniture sales, having worked for Goldberg's Furniture Store and Brenner's Furniture Store. He later went on to work in the funeral service industry. Lloyd was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Baggett Williams. Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Williams McKinney and her husband Floyd; his grandson, Devin Williams; his sister, Irma Boatman; and 25 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gavin Bearden, Lawrence E. Baggett, Robert McKinney, Landon Baggett, Bryan Bateman, and Phillip Streetman.
