CW5 (Ret) Richard Bryan Wilson, age 60, of Clarksville, passed away on July 27, 2022 at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12 noon, Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. US Army Honors will be rendered. Richard’s family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Richard entered this life on June 12, 1962 at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama to Donald Wilson and Sandra Ragsdale Wilson. He was retired from a distinguished career spanning 32 years with The United States Army. He was an accomplished and professional pilot, operating the Chinook 47-E helicopter on over 25 combat tours and countless special operation assignments all around the world. He was a veteran of Desert Storm and combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and retired from the Army with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 5. Following his retirement, Richard, enjoyed his time outdoors hunting and fishing. More recently he enjoyed smoking and grilling meats for family gatherings and has been a lifelong fan of Alabama football! Most of all, Richard loved his family and time spent with them.
In addition to his mother, Sandra Sullivan, he is survived by his loving wife of over 36 years, Alisa Wilson; sons, Jonathan Wilson, and Robert (Paulina) Wilson; brother, Derek Wilson; sister, Kimberly Wilson; and grandchildren, Abel and Mary Grace Wilson.
