Johnny Everette Cunningham, age 76 of Clarksville, passed away on March 22, 2017.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Chaplain Byron Dumas officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Full Military Honors rendered. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday.
Johnny was born on January 19, 1941 in Prospect, TN, the son of the late Ernest Cunningham and Ella Will Tate Cunningham. He enlisted into the U.S. Army on November 20, 1963. He retired after 22 years of honorable service as CW3. He was a Vietnam Veteran and recipient of many awards including, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2nd Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/ Palm, Meritorious Service Medal (1st Oak Leaf Cluster) NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3).
He is survived by his wife, Sabina Cunningham; sons, John E. (Brenda) Cunningham, Jr, Ronald L. (Sheila) Cunningham, and Travis F. (Mary) Cunningham; brothers, Dale (Helen) Cunningham and Randy Cunningham; sisters, Christine (Charlie) Mitchell and Catherine Emery; 3 grandchildren, Christopher (Paige), Gavin, and Cannon;1 great-grandchild, Brice; and his beloved Jackie dog.
