CW3 (Ret) James Henry Norman, Jr., 60, Clarksville, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 noon Monday, April 9, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with military honors. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
James was born March 2, 1952 at Fort Knox, KY, son of James Henry and Alpha Virginia Elkins Norman. He retired from the U.S. Army following 27 years of service. He was a recipient of the Saint Barbara Award along with other military commendations. James was a Baptist, a volunteer for the Cunningham Fire Service, and held membership with the Montgomery Co. Bass Club and C.E.R.T.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Jean Richardson Norman of Clarksville; sons, Anthony Norman of Clarksville, Nicholas (Maddy) Norman of Cox Creek, KY, and Michael Norman of Clarksville; his mother, Alpha Norman of Elizabethtown, KY; brother, Ron Norman of Shepherdsville, KY; and sister Diane Speck of Radcliff, KY.
