CW2 (Ret) Emmanuel Green, 61 of Woodlawn, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at Centennial Medical Center.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Oakwood Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne James and Rev. Garrett Milliken officiating. Burial will follow Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Full Military Honors rendered.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday at the church and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the church.
Emmanuel was born June 28, 1954, in Lackawana, NY, the son of the late Raymond Green and Marie Gable Green. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Francis Green. Emmanuel retired as a CW2 in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Oakwood Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Tammye Henson Green; son, Christopher (Lisa) Green; daughter, Kelly (Scott) Smith; step-children, Tracie (Abraham) Glazer and Karen (Patrick Murphy) Eissler; brothers, Raymond Green, Richard Green, and David Green; sister, Mary Teresa Woodworth; grandchildren, Kayla, Madison, and Olivia Green, Riley, Gabriel, and Andrew Smith; step-grandchildren, Raizel and Gideon Glazer, and Jasmine Eissler; several adopted grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Harmon; Chris Parker, Kip McNeill, Dan Wallace, Scott Smith, and Chris Green, Tim Parker, Keith Wynn, and Riley Woodworth.
Honorary pallbearers will be Riley Smith and Kayla Green.
