Chief Warrant Officer Four Michael Stephen Harris, age 44, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, after a brave battle fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia. A Celebration of Life with Full Military Honors will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Grace Community Church (2853 Dunlop Lane, Clarksville. TN 37043) with Chaplain (CPT) Nick Wright and Pastor Adam Dressler officiating. Visitation will be held 3-6 pm. Family has requested to avoid dark colored clothing.
Mike was born on February 4, 1978 in Ellsworth, Maine. Mike attained his B.S. degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He had a 25 year career with the United States Army where he was a Combat Engineer, Apache pilot and most recently assigned to the 160th "Night Stalkers" SOAR (Special Operations Aviation Regiment), Mike was among a select few pilots trusted for Special Ops flights specializing in flight under the cover of darkness. Apart from his contributions to the Army and his country, Mike loved his Lord, his family (especially his three young daughters) and serving people, He was a member of Grace Community Church, He has received numerous awards and accommodations including The Order of Saint Michael.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mandi Parker Harris; his daughters, Eliot (9yo), Parker (8yo), and Piper (8yo); Mother, Phylis McGuire; Father, Robert Harris; Sister, Jennifer Harris; step-Mother, Kelly Harris; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Richard and Sheryl Parker; Sister-in-law, Dawn Schaefer; and Niece and Nephew, Sydney and P.J. Schaefer.
